*A thought*:
The cities of refuge were so appointed that a person who committed unintentional murder could reach them within a day. They were easily accessible, well signposted and
their gates were open day and night. How beautifully illustrative of our Lord Jesus Christ -our eternal City of Refuge - to whom we run, when in trouble, and find perfect peace and
rest. Hallelujah!
