*A thought*:
The leaders of Judah were upset that Isaiah lectured them like children: "precept upon precept, line upon line..." (Isaiah 28:9-11, AV), and they completely ignored his warnings. Instead they had to listen to the stronger voice of their Assyrian conquerors. Beware of failing to heed the gentle reproofs of the Spirit, or else you may well be forced to heed the stronger voice of circumstances.
