*A thought*:
Jeremiah's sign of the linen girdle was meant to show that Israel had corrupted themselves by their idolatry, so much that they were good for nothing. What an indictment! What sign, do you think, would Jeremiah give us if he were alive today, and wanted to indicate the true condition of the contemporary Christian Church?
